1. About the Confirmation Email Sent to You
Confirmation email

For security, we sometimes ask new site members to confirm their email address. This may happen for several reasons.

For example, when a visitor tries to create a member account with an email address that already exists in our contact list, we send them a confirmation email. In the email, we ask them to click a link to confirm their email address.

2. Using reCAPTCHA in the Sign up Process
reCAPTCHA

1. We use Google's reCAPTCHA tool to help protect against potential spam and other types of automated abuse.

2. We use reCAPTCHA tool in the mode "For suspected bots only". Means: only suspected bots will be required to pass reCAPTCHA. Most people won’t be asked to verify that they’re human.
3. We use reCAPTCHA for signup only. You won't need it to login into account.

ReCAPTCHA asks users to enter numbers or words seen in distorted images onscreen. reCAPTCHA is simply a test to tell humans and robots apart.

You must type exactly what you see in the CAPTCHA image, whether it's a number, a word, or several words. When you are done, press the enter key on your keyboard.

In addition, you can click the audio button to listen to an audio CAPTCHA option. The set of numbers is read out and you must enter the numbers you hear in the provided space. When you are done, press the enter key on your keyboard.
